All Massachusetts Rinks Closed Until November 7

The Commonwealth announced that all rinks in Massachusetts are to be closed from 10/23/20 until 11/7/20.   There will be no practices at Janas Rink until Saturday, November 7th.

Games can occur if the rink is open.   New Hampshire rinks are also currently closed, but are scheduled to reopen 10/31/20.

This, like all COVID related items, is a fluid situation so information can change quickly.   We will attempt to keep folks aware.    It is likely there will be even more restrictions when rinks re-open as well as the need for everyone to follow the guidelines more rigidly.

See this article from the Massachusetts Hockey on the recent closures.

In case you don't know, our own program has had positive cases amongst our Midget age players.  We had canceled all their games and practices after 10/16/20 once we were made aware of the positive test.

No Spectators at Janas Rink

Effective 10/16/2020, there will be no spectators allowed in the Janas Rink per the management company.  They are asking that all kids who cannot dress themselves to please come to the rink fully dressed.  All others to please come half dressed,  if parents need to carry them in to put them on the rubber that is ok.  . These rules will be in effect until further notice.

The rink management company and GLYSA all thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We are all doing everything possible to keep the rinks open and the kids skating.
