Travel Hockey
Greater Lowell Hockey travel teams play in the Valley Hockey League. Mite 8U teams play a cross-ice format following the USA Hockey ADM model. Our organization consists primarily of players from the Greater Lowell area, including Lowell and Dracut.
Ages
The program ages range from our Mite 8U program for children 8 years old and under, up to the Midget 18U program for children up to 18 years old.
When
Our season begins the week of Labor Day and ends by mid-April. Player Evaluations are typically held mid-March for the next season.
Where
Practices are held at the Janas Rink in Lowell, MA, and games are held at various rinks across the region.
Practices
Practices are held 2 times a week generally on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with occasional weekend practices on Saturday or Sunday morning, depending on game schedules.
Games
Our Mite 8U teams play a 25 game season and our Squirt 10U through Bantam 14U teams play a 35 game season, plus playoffs. Midget 18U teams play an 11 game season in preparation for high school season.
Jerseys
Custom reversible game jerseys with player names on the back along with two pairs of game socks.
Extra Costs
If teams choose to play in a tournament during the season, these costs are extra and will be collected by coaches or team managers. These costs vary depending on the tournament, and can range from $100-$300 plus lodging costs.
2026-27
Register for the 2026-27 travel season here. Fees are as follows:
$50 non-refundable registration fee for evaluations.
Mite 8U: $1,650
Squirt 10U: $2,250
Peewee 12U: $2,250
Bantam 14U: $2,250
Midget 18U: $950

First payment due at the time of acceptance of roster spot and will continue monthly.
